Who are MiniMakers?

MiniMakers is a family-run 3D printing business based in Kent, UK, and the home of BlueSteve3D. We design, print, test and prepare our products ourselves and love taking our creations out to events to meet our customers in person.

Are your products made in the UK?

Yes. Our products are 3D printed and prepared by us in our workshop in Kent.

Some models are designed by us, while others are produced from designs that we are authorised or licensed to print.

How long will my order take?

Some of our most popular products are held in stock and are ready to dispatch straight away. Where an item is in stock, we'll aim to get it packed and on its way to you within2-3 working days.

Other products are printed to order so please allow 3-5 Working days to make, quality-check and prepare your item. Estimated production times will be shown on the relevant product page and are in addition to delivery time.

If your order contains both in-stock and made-to-order products, we may wait until everything is ready before sending your order together.

Need something for a birthday, event or particular date? Get in touch before ordering and we'll happily let you know what's possible.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver throughout the UK. Dispatched via Royal Mail 48hr tracked service.

Tracking information will be provided where available.

Can I collect my order?

Collection may be available by prior arrangement. Please contact us before ordering if you'd like to collect.

My order has arrived damaged or incorrect. What should I do?

Please contact us as soon as possible with your order number and, where appropriate, photographs of the item and packaging.

We'll investigate and put things right.

If your parcel appears to have been lost in transit, please contact us and we'll investigate this with the delivery provider.

Can I return something if I change my mind?

For eligible UK online purchases, you generally have 14 days after receiving your order to tell us that you wish to cancel.

You will then normally have a further 14 days to return the goods.

You may be responsible for return postage unless the product is faulty, damaged, incorrect or we agree otherwise.

Please contact us before returning anything so that we can provide return instructions.

What about personalised or bespoke products?

Products made specifically to your requirements or clearly personalised may not qualify for the normal change-of-mind cancellation right.

This can include products featuring personalised names, wording, dimensions or designs created specifically for you.

We'll make this clear where applicable before purchase.

Your statutory rights regarding faulty goods are unaffected.

If something is made to order, can I still return it?

Potentially, yes.

Many of our standard products are printed only after an order is received. Being "made to order" does not necessarily make a product personalised or remove your statutory cancellation rights.

Can I place a custom order?

Absolutely! Custom work is one of our favourite parts of MiniMakers.

Whether it's a personalised gift, display piece, sign, collectible or something completely different, get in touch and tell us your idea.

Photographs, sketches and measurements are always helpful.

Can you design something from scratch?

Yes. We use CAD and 3D modelling software and may be able to design something specifically for you.

Depending on the complexity and time involved, an additional design charge may apply. We'll discuss this with you before starting any chargeable work.

Can you print a 3D file I already have?

Usually! Send us the file along with the approximate size, colour and finish you're looking for and we'll take a look.

You must have the necessary rights or permission for us to reproduce the design.

Can you recreate something from a photograph?

Sometimes. Photographs, drawings and sketches can be great starting points, although not everything can be accurately converted into a 3D model.

Send us your idea and we'll tell you what's achievable.

How much does a custom print cost? Every project is different.

Pricing depends on factors including size, material, printing time, complexity, design work and finishing.

Why does my 3D print have visible lines?

That's part of the 3D printing process.

Our products are created one tiny layer at a time, so subtle layer lines, seams and small variations in surface texture can occur.

These characteristics are inherent to 3D printing and aren't necessarily manufacturing defects. They also mean that every print is slightly unique.

Will my product look exactly like the photograph?

We make every effort to represent our products accurately, but small variations can occur between individual 3D prints.

Colours can also vary slightly between filament batches and may appear differently depending on your screen.

What materials do you use?

We primarily use high-quality 3D printing filaments selected according to the product and its intended use.

Where the specific material is important, this will be stated on the product page.

Can 3D printed products get hot?

Some 3D printing materials can soften or deform when exposed to high temperatures.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, we recommend keeping your prints away from strong heat sources and avoiding leaving them for prolonged periods inside hot vehicles.

Are your products toys?

Not necessarily.

Our range includes decorative items, collectibles and other 3D printed products, as well as products that may be intended for play.

Please check the individual product description, age guidance and safety information before purchase.

Products containing small parts should never be given to young children unless specifically designed and supplied as suitable for them.
